Catalans Dragons sign John Cartwright to permanent contract

Catalans Dragons have officially announced that Australian head coach John Cartwright has signed a permanent contract extension. Originally appointed on a short-term basis following the departure of Joel Tomkins, Cartwright is now committed to leading the club through the end of the 2028 season.

Cartwright expressed enthusiasm regarding the club’s long-term vision and the commitment shown by president Bernard Guasch. He noted that the club’s plans for future development, including training initiatives and the construction of a new stand, were key factors in his decision to stay in Perpignan.

The coach is already involved in building the squad for 2027, following recent recruitment activity that includes the signing of Luciano Leilua.
