Sinaloa Interim Governor Appoints Catalina Esparza to DIF Presidency

Interim Governor Graciela Domínguez Nava has appointed Catalina Esparza Navarrete as the honorary president of the Patronato of the Sinaloa DIF System. This move follows the departure of Eneyda Rocha Ruiz, the daughter of the state's governor on leave, Rubén Rocha Moya.

While some reports describe the move as a direct replacement, Domínguez Nava clarified that the appointment is an honorary position and does not constitute a new operational or budgetary hiring. The Governor noted that Rocha Ruiz had not been actively leading the agency for some time.

Esparza Navarrete, who holds a doctorate in Education, previously served as the Secretary of Public Education and Culture for the state. Her new role will focus on social causes, including support for children, youth, the elderly, and vulnerable families in Sinaloa.
