Catalina FIV wins third consecutive milk production title at Expocruz

At the Expocruz 2026 livestock fair in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, Catalina FIV of Grupo Rojas achieved a historic third consecutive title as the Grand Champion of Milk Production in the Girolando breed. Over a four-day competition involving ten milkings, Catalina FIV produced a total of 249,900 kilograms of milk, averaging 83,300 kilograms per day.

In the Gyr Lechero breed category, Graciela de Monte Alegre from the Monte Alegre ranch was crowned Grand Champion. This specimen recorded a total production of 192,840 kilograms of milk, with a daily average of 64,280 kilograms, setting a national record for the breed. Gioconda FIV Esterlina from the Esterlina ranch was named Reserve Grand Champion in the Gyr Lechero category, producing 163,240 kilograms of milk.
