Catalina Island and Marin County announce seasonal cultural events

Catalina Island is hosting a series of events for Labor Day weekend, featuring live music, beach parties, and themed activities. The lineup includes a Summer Send-Off Luau at Descanso Beach Club, karaoke sessions, and various musical performances in Two Harbors. The Avalon Theatre will also host a movie series featuring films such as ‘Back to the Future Part III’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End’.

In Marin County, the autumn arts season is highlighted by Design Marin, which offers events for industry professionals and enthusiasts, including architecture discussions in Mill Valley and storytelling sessions in Sausalito. Additionally, the Sound Summit Music Festival is scheduled for September 12 at the Mountain Theater on Mt. Tam, featuring headliner Father John Misty alongside artists such as Guster and La Luz.
