Catalina Vallejos addresses Miss Universe Chile performance

Catalina Vallejos has addressed criticisms regarding her performance during the question segment of the Miss Universe Chile competition. Appearing on the program 'Primer Plano,' the model, who represented Pucón and finished in third place, admitted she was underprepared for questions concerning national current events.

Vallejos noted that nervousness affected her ability to deliver answers with the expected fluency and confidence. “I feel that in the last stage of this whole contest, I was actually weak and I am very self-critical in that sense,” she stated. Despite the pressure, she maintained that she did answer the questions posed by the jury.

Additionally, Vallejos praised the winner of the competition, Dominga López, stating that López performed superiorly during the decisive stages of the pageant.
