Spain and Latin America achieve organ transplant milestones

In Córdoba, Argentina, nine procurement processes at the Municipal Emergency Hospital enabled 22 organ and tissue transplants, including three liver, twelve kidney, six cornea and three bone grafts for patients aged 17 to 84. In Madrid, the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre performed four solid‑organ transplants within 24 hours— a pancreas‑kidney transplant, two liver transplants and a pancreas transplant—demonstrating high‑level coordination among surgical, anesthetic and intensive‑care teams while maintaining routine hospital services.
