Catalonia adjusts bus services with reduced schedules in Molins de Rei and new Catalan language rule for interurban ops

During August, the MoBus network in Molins de Rei will run each line on an hourly basis instead of the usual half‑hourly service, with start times shifted later and the evening finish an hour earlier. The changes affect the three MoBus lines (MB1, MB2 and MB3) and apply only for the vacation month.

Separately, the Catalan Parliament has amended the inter‑urban bus concession regulations to require operators such as Moventis, Sagalés, Monbus, Grup TGO and others to provide passenger assistance in Catalan. Drivers and staff must hold at least a B1 level in Catalan, with penalties for non‑compliance, marking the first explicit linguistic obligation for public‑transport providers in the region.
