Catalonia announces 2026 basketball league calendar; Hostalets de Pierola holds futsal tournament

The Catalan Basketball Federation (FCBQ) has released the schedule for the 2026 Catalan National Leagues. The men's ACB league will return to Tarragona in September, with six top‑flight teams—including Kids & Us Manresa, FC Barcelona, Asisa Joventut, FIATC Girona, Ilerna Lleida and MoraBanc Andorra—competing from 9‑11 September and a final on 13 September. The women's league and the Challenge edition will also be staged in Tarragona and Reus later that month.

Meanwhile, the municipality of Hostalets de Pierola is hosting the 47th edition of its annual futsal tournament from 29 July to 9 August. Twenty‑one teams across men's and women's categories will compete, with matches running nightly. The event includes cultural and musical activities, aiming to promote sport and community cohesion in the region.
