Catalonia announces 2027 university access exam calendar changes

The Consell Interuniversitari de Catalunya and the Departament de Recerca i Universitats have released the 2027 calendar for the university access exams (PAU). A major change in the schedule is the relocation of the extraordinary exam session from September to July.

This shift aims to align Catalonia's academic calendar with the rest of Spain's autonomous communities. By holding the extraordinary exams in July, students can receive their results in August, allowing them to complete university enrollment earlier and begin the academic year alongside their peers.

The ordinary PAU exams are scheduled for June 1, 2, and 3, 2027, while the extraordinary session will take place on July 6, 7, and 8, 2027. The calendar also includes dates for access tests for individuals over 25 and 45 years of age, as well as the Personal Aptitude Test (PAP) for Early Childhood and Primary Education degrees.
