Catalonia prepares for various Diada National commemorations

Various institutional, cultural, and political activities are scheduled across Catalonia to commemorate the Diada Nacional de Catalunya.

In Barcelona, Òmnium Cultural will host the Festa per la Llibertat featuring musical acts such as La Gossa Sorda, DJ Trapella, and DJ K-ZU. The Assemblea Nacional Catalana will recognize singers who were previously expelled from the Sagrada Família during a papal visit.

Institutional events include floral offerings, manifest readings, and historical lectures. Historian Jordi Vidal Pla is set to deliver a conference in Vilafranca del Penedès regarding the historical significance of September 11.

Public access to several landmarks will be expanded, with free visits offered to the Palau de la Generalitat, the Parliament of Catalonia, and various museums and medieval sites. Local districts like Les Corts will also hold community-focused celebrations combining institutional acts with musical performances.
