Catalonia hosts circus arts festivals and clowning events

Several circus and clowning arts programs are scheduled across Catalonia this autumn. The ‘Circo a Escena’ circuit, supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya, will bring specialized circus performances to Figueres, Olot, and Granollers.

Key performances include Eunoia Kolektiva’s ‘Tenet’ in Figueres on October 25, Toti Toronell’s ‘Fe de rutas’ in Olot on October 25—a tribute to poet Joan Brossa—and PSiRC’s ‘Cosas pequeñas’ in Granollers on November 21.

Additionally, the Circ Cric is hosting its 13th International Clown Festival, running through October 25. The festival focuses on highlighting female talent in comedy and features international performers such as Pepa Plana, Gardi Hutter, and Iman Lizarazu. The program includes various premieres and performances across Sant Esteve and Santa Maria de Palautordera.
