Cabify secures 210 Kia EVs as Spain rolls out new Auto+ electric‑vehicle incentive

Cabify and Kia have signed an agreement for up to 210 fully electric Kia EV4 Fastback cars, the first 154 of which will enter Cabify’s fleet in Madrid and Barcelona this week. The purchase is part of Cabify’s ESG 2026‑2029 plan, which aims to cut emissions per kilometre by 85 % by 2029 and has already avoided more than 4,000 t of CO₂ in Spain.

At the same time, the Spanish government is preparing to launch the “Plan Auto+” on 1 July, replacing the previous Moves III scheme. The program offers a maximum bonus of €5,500 for 100 % electric cars, with the subsidy split between a €4,500 state grant and a mandatory €1,000 dealer discount. Eligibility depends on motorisation, price, European production and battery origin, and the total budget is €400 million. Catalonia will apply the same framework, using the “EEE” (Electric, Economic, European) criteria to calculate regional grants.

Both initiatives aim to accelerate the adoption of zero‑emission vehicles in Spain, supporting corporate fleets and private buyers alike.
