Catalonia launches summer Catalan language courses in Lloret and Reus

The Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística (CPNL) announced intensive summer Catalan courses for beginners (levels A1 and A2) in Llört de Mar. Registration is open online and in person on 30 June and 1 July. Courses run from 2 July to 23 July, three hours a day (10:00‑13:30), and are held at the Oficina de Català, Carrer Felicià Serra i Mont 15.

In Reus, the municipal Culture and Language Policy department presented similar summer conversation groups and courses at the press‑room in Plaça del Mercadal 1. Officials Daniel Recasens (councillor) and Anna Saperas (director of the local language centre) outlined the programme, emphasizing its aim to support new residents, service‑sector workers and local citizens in improving Catalan proficiency.
