Catalonia Parliament pushes for concrete health investment plan in Girona region

The Catalan Parliament approved a unanimous motion urging the regional government to set a clear timetable and funding for pending health projects in the Girona province before the end of the year. The motion specifically calls for the conversion of the Doctor Cabañas primary care centre in Lloret de Mar into a Primary Care Urgent Attention Centre (CUAP), a long‑awaited upgrade for the municipality.

The text also references other strategic projects, including the new Girona Health Campus, a future hospital in Palamós, the expansion of the Palafrugell primary care centre, and the refurbishment of the Cassà de la Selva centre. Additional measures seek a specific plan to reduce waiting lists in the Girona health region and a proposal within six months to equalise labour and salary conditions for staff of the Catalan Health Institute.
