Catalonia's Alicia Romero presents 2026 budget, funding C‑13 road upgrade in Lleida

The Catalan Government, represented by Economy and Finance Councilor Alicia Romero, presented the 2026 budget to economic and social agents in Lleida, allocating €220 million for projects in the Ponent and Alt Pirineu regions.

Key investments include a dual‑lane upgrade of the C‑13 highway between Lleida and Balaguer, the new Torreblanca‑Quatre Pilans industrial park, the Comiols road, upgrades to Hospital Arnau de Vilanova, new primary‑care centres, schools, the Lleida‑la Pobla railway line, and a €3 billion irrigation modernization plan. The budget also anticipates financing reforms that should bring roughly €4.7 billion of additional resources to Catalonia.
