Catalonia’s summer natural pools and Andorra’s mountain‑refuge program draw eco‑tourists

Central Catalonia promotes three natural pools—Foradada de Cantonigròs, the Riera de Merlès, and the Gorgs Blaus of Monistrol de Calders—as cooling weekend destinations amid summer heat. Visitors are urged to check restrictions, respect the environment and avoid fire risk.

In Andorra, the four guarded mountain refuges of Sorteny, Juclar, Comapedrosa and l'Illa concluded a June‑July guided‑tour cycle under the “Cita als cims desig de refugi” program. Organized by Andorra Recerca i Innovació with ministerial support, the initiative combined local gastronomy, poetry readings and ecological education, engaging over 70 participants and involving partners from France, Spain and Catalonia.
