Catamarca and Buenos Aires Provinces Sign Gender‑Based Violence Prevention Accord
The Ministry of Government, Security and Justice of Catamarca and the Ministry of Women and Diversity of the Province of Buenos Aires have signed a cooperation agreement to coordinate actions against gender‑based violence, promote equality and strengthen public policies in both jurisdictions. The pact, signed by Governor Raúl Jalil, Catamarca’s minister Alberto Natella and Buenos Aires minister Estela Díaz, establishes a permanent collaborative framework for sharing experiences, designing prevention strategies, and providing gender‑perspective training for public officials in line with Argentina’s Law Micaela. It also targets joint initiatives to improve labor opportunities for women and LGTBI+ persons, exchange best practices on comprehensive sexual education, and develop programs on masculinities. Specific protocols will outline objectives, responsibilities and confidentiality measures for all joint activities.
