Catamarca establishes new mining hub in capital city

The Catamarca provincial government and the Municipality of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca have agreed to establish a “Mining Hub” in the southern part of the capital city. The agreement, signed by Governor Raúl Jalil and Mayor Gustavo Saadi, involves the donation of municipal properties to the province for exclusive use in mining infrastructure development.

The project aims to centralize various mining-related entities and activities. One designated area will host an administrative complex for the Ministry of Mining, CAMYEN S.E., and other related agencies. Another site will serve logistical and operational purposes, including the storage of machinery, vehicles, and drilling witnesses.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to decentralize public offices from the city center and promote urban development in new sectors through improved infrastructure and territorial planning.
