Catamarca inmate dies after prison fight

An inmate died following a fight at Penitentiary Establishment No. 1 in Catamarca, Argentina. The victim, identified as Gustavo Adolfo Bravo, sustained a puncture wound to the left intercostal thorax caused by a homemade weapon.

Bravo, a 27-year-old serving a 20-year sentence for the murder of journalist Marcelo Sanchez, was transported to Hospital Escuela but succumbed to his injuries. Authorities, including Secretary of Security Guillermo Weyler and Judge María Teresa Zacarías de Gonzalez, attended the scene. The suspect has been taken into custody under reinforced police guard.
