Catamarca launches blockchain governance training program

Governor Raúl Jalil has launched the 'Catamarca On-Chain' program, an initiative aimed at integrating blockchain technology and digital governance into the provincial administration of Catamarca, Argentina.

Scheduled from September 14 to 18, the intensive training week involves over 100 public sector decision-makers, including heads of the ministries of Education, Production, Labor, and Health, as well as authorities from the National University of Catamarca. The program, supported by Provincial Law No. 5923, focuses on strengthening institutional capacity through decentralized technologies to improve data traceability, verifiable digital identity, and public procedure evidence.

The initiative includes technical collaboration with the Polkadot Blockchain Academy, a global educational entity founded by Dr. Gavin Wood. The curriculum combines theoretical training with applied laboratories to address regulatory aspects, data protection, interoperability, and the ethical limits of Web3 adoption in the public sector.
