Catamarca launches digital platform to streamline teacher appointments

The Ministry of Education and Labour of the Argentine province of Catamarca has deployed the Sistema para la Cobertura de Cargos Docentes y Carga de Novedades (SCCN), a new digital platform that centralises all administrative steps involved in covering teaching vacancies and recording personnel changes. The system integrates request submission, analysis, authorisation, vacancy publication, designation assemblies, oath‑taking, hiring and the registration of novelties, while providing traceability for each case. It also links to existing personnel administration, electronic document management and payroll systems, aiming to reduce processing times, improve transparency and minimise duplicated work.

Minister Verónica Soria said the platform represents “an important step to modernise a process that directly impacts the functioning of our schools, allowing us to accelerate both vacancy coverage and the entire teacher‑hiring procedure.”
