Catamarca secures 10 weekly flights via Aerolíneas Argentinas agreement

The government of Catamarca has signed an agreement with Aerolíneas Argentinas to increase air connectivity, guaranteeing 10 weekly direct flights to Buenos Aires. The agreement aims to support the province's growing tourism and mining sectors.

Starting in November, flight frequencies will increase gradually from seven to nine per week, reaching the full ten-flight schedule by December. The service will include seven morning flights and three evening flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, connecting directly to Aeroparque. The agreement covers the period through March, with a commitment to renegotiate its continuity after that term.

To accommodate demand, the airline will utilize aircraft with a capacity of approximately 130 passengers. While officials work to secure this connectivity, the provincial government is also in discussions with low-cost carriers to further expand flight options.
