Catania administration considers bid for football club trademark
The Municipality of Catania is preparing to participate in a competitive bidding process to acquire the historic trademark of Calcio Catania. Massimo Pesce, the city's deputy mayor, stated that the administration's intent is purely institutional rather than speculative.
If successful, the city aims to preserve the local heritage and protect the brand from future failures. The plan involves potentially granting the use of the trademark to the football team that reaches the highest level of Italian championships. Other participants in the bidding process include Catania FC and various other interested parties.
