Catania eyes new signings as Michael Liguori returns to Massimino

Midfielder Michael Liguori has re‑joined Calcio Catania, returning to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara (Massimino) where he previously featured as a Catania player, later faced the club with Salernitana, and appeared in the 2024 Coppa Italia Serie C final with Padova. The team expects his pace, dribbling and one‑on‑one ability to boost the squad this season.

Sporting director Francesco Varrà said Catania is assessing targets such as former Napoli midfielder Diego Demme and prolific striker Massimo Coda. He stressed that any incoming transfers will be preceded by player exits to trim the roster and maintain a balance between experienced heads and younger talent.
