Catania Fontanarossa Airport launches new 24-hour medical station

A new 24-hour medical station has commenced operations at Catania Fontanarossa Airport. Managed by Bourelly Health Service S. r. l. and Consorzio Sicilia, the service began on October 1, 2026.

The facility is staffed by doctors and rescue drivers and is equipped with two ambulances. This marks the third Italian airport where Bourelly Health Service provides medical and care services. The operation utilizes an internally developed digital platform to track interventions and monitor activities. The expansion in Sicily involves investments in equipment and personnel, increasing the company's presence in the region.
