Catania Police Honor Paternò Students in ‘PretenDiamo Legalità’ Initiative

The Questura di Catania presented awards to primary and middle‑school pupils of the Istituto Comprensivo “Lombardo Radice – Virgilio” in Paternò for artistic works created within the “PretenDiamo Legalità” project. The initiative, now in its ninth year, is run by the State Police in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Merit.

Students, guided by teachers, produced illustrated texts and visual‑art pieces on themes such as legality, civic responsibility and anti‑bullying. Police officers met the class, answered questions about their professional experience and discussed ways to prevent illegal activity. Around one hundred pupils from several schools across the Catania area, from the coastal plain to the Etna zone, took part. The ceremony highlighted the collaboration between law‑enforcement authorities and the education sector and underscored the youths’ positive messages against bullying.
