Catania Summer Fest 2026 announces musical and comedy events

The Catania Summer Fest 2026 features a diverse lineup of cultural and entertainment events across the city's historic squares. Organized by the Municipality of Catania, the festival includes musical, comedic, and spiritual performances designed to transform urban spaces into open-air stages.

In Piazza Dante, the Coro Lirico Siciliano will perform ‘Apocalisse di Bellezza: Il Respiro del Creato’ on September 12, 2026. This symphonic event will feature works inspired by Franco Battiato, Riz Ortolani, and Ennio Morricone. On September 19, 2026, the Coro Lirico Siciliano will move to Piazza Palestro for ‘Stranizza d’Amuri: Il Cantico dell’Isola della Luce,’ featuring Rita Botto.

Comedy will also take center stage in Piazza Palestro on September 11, 2026, with a performance by comedian Uccio De Santis and television host Salvo La Rosa. These events are free to the public and aim to promote social interaction within the city's historic districts.
