Catania teacher selection process faces allegations of irregularities

Allegations of irregularities have been raised regarding the selection process for teachers in the 2026/2027 IeFP (Vocational Education and Training) courses in Catania. The selections, funded by PR FSE+ resources, are being scrutinized following a formal complaint filed by Professor Cristian Adriano Porcino.

The complaint targets the procedures used by the CFP CNOS/FAP di Catania Barriera. Specific allegations include the presence of four handwritten signatures on individual evaluation sheets despite only two commissioners reportedly being present during interviews. The complainant claims an audio recording of the exam supports this discrepancy.

Furthermore, the complaint alleges that certain interview questions were intrusive, touching upon personal and associative matters in potential violation of labor statutes. Formal reports have been submitted to the Regional Department of Education, the Regional Prosecutor of the Court of Auditors for Sicily, and UNAR at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to investigate the transparency of the selection and the use of public funds.
