Catanzaro appoints Michele Mignani as new head coach

US Catanzaro 1929 has officially named Michele Mignani as the new head coach of the first team. Mignani has signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2028, succeeding Giorgio Gorgone following the team's dismissal after a heavy defeat against Ascoli.

Mignani will lead a technical staff including Simone Vergassola as assistant coach, alongside collaborators Emanuele Insalata and Davide Campofranco. The appointment comes at a critical juncture for the club, which currently sits at the bottom of the standings.

The new coach is expected to make his debut on Tuesday, October 27, in an away match against Benevento. Mignani faces the immediate challenge of restoring competitiveness and stability to a squad that has struggled to meet expectations this season.
