Catanzaro approves 2025 consolidated budget

The municipal administration of Catanzaro, led by Mayor Nicola Fiorita, has unanimously approved the 2025 consolidated budget. This decision prevents legal sanctions and ensures the city maintains its ability to carry out administrative operations and hiring processes.

The Public Administration Group (GAP) reported a positive economic result of 6,138,546.67 euros. While this represents a slight decrease of 135,000 euros compared to the previous year's profit of 6.27 million euros, the group's net equity has increased to 196.2 million euros, up from 188 million in 2024. Liquid assets currently exceed 30.2 million euros.

Under local government regulations, failure to submit the consolidated budget to the BDAP would have resulted in an immediate freeze on all hiring, including competitions, staff stabilizations, and fixed-term contracts. Financial Councilor Luisa Lacava noted that the budget reflects a solid group structure with growing liquidity.
