Catanzaro club close to 2026‑27 plan and new coach decision

Catanzaro’s sporting director Ciro Polito and club president Floriano Noto met to discuss the team’s technical programme for the 2026‑27 season. Sources said the talks were in an advanced stage and an agreement could be reached within hours.

The club, still rebuilding after the departure of former captain Alberto Aquilani, is also evaluating candidates for the head‑coach role. The most talked‑about names are Davide Possanzini and Guido Pagliuca, with other options such as Michele Mignani, Matteo Andreoletti and Leandro Greco also on the shortlist. A decision on the coach is expected soon, followed by plans for player transfers and roster adjustments ahead of the next Serie B campaign.
