Catanzaro dedicates Corvo neighborhood road to Dr. Annibale Battaglia

The city of Catanzaro held a ceremony to dedicate a major road in the Corvo neighborhood to the memory of Dr. Annibale Battaglia. A long-time general practitioner, Battaglia was a central figure in the community for decades before passing away during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The initiative was proposed by Deputy Mayor Giusy Iemma and received unanimous approval from the municipal council led by Mayor Nicola Fiorita. The ceremony was attended by the doctor's family, including his wife Nuccia Grasso and son Antonio, as well as local officials and representatives from the medical community.

Local residents and officials described Battaglia as a professional defined by his humanity and ability to listen to his patients. The dedication serves to honor his lifelong commitment to the Corvo district and the southern area of the city.
