Catanzaro hosts tenth MATERIA design festival

The tenth edition of the MATERIA festival is set to take place in Catanzaro, Calabria, from October 1 to October 4. Organized by Officine AD architects Domenico Garofalo and Giuseppe Anania, the festival will be hosted at the San Giovanni Monumental Complex.

This year’s theme is ‘Agorà,’ focusing on the concept of the square as a space for meeting, exchange, and Mediterranean hospitality. The event features a program of talks and installations involving prominent contemporary designers, including Studio Martinelli Venezia, Roberto D’Avanzo, and Antonio Aricò. The festivities include exhibition openings, light installations, and dinner talks designed to foster dialogue between different generations and professional disciplines.
