He emphasized the need for increased AMC bus services, the restoration of the funicular, and a more effective surface metro system to support the area.

In addition to the pedestrian zone, Mayor Nicola Fiorita announced that Viale dei Normanni will reopen to traffic on September 10. The project faced delays due to technical difficulties during excavation, saturated soil from heavy rainfall, and issues with the contracting company.

Separately, Councilor Tommaso Serraino addressed the ongoing challenges in the Catanzaro Lido district, citing economic struggles, business closures, and concerns regarding local services and infrastructure maintenance.
