Catanzaro water infrastructure to receive 35.5 million euro investment

The Calabria Region has presented a 35.5 million euro plan to strengthen the water system in Catanzaro and address long-standing infrastructure issues. Presented by Regional President Roberto Occhiuto and Environmental Councilor Antonio Montuoro, the investment aims to improve water supply continuity and resilience, particularly during summer months.

The plan consists of three primary structural interventions:

- 19.5 million euros to upgrade the Alli-Simeri-Passante supply line, which feeds the Santa Domenica water treatment plant. - 6 million euros to modernize the Santa Domenica treatment plant, targeting a capacity exceeding 500 liters per second. - 10 million euros to complete the Torrazzo reservoir in Catanzaro Lido, which will have a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters.
