Cath Bowie sets Guinness World Record as oldest female Fortnite streamer

Cath Bowie, a 78-year-old grandmother from Scotland, has officially set a Guinness World Record as the oldest female Fortnite streamer on Twitch. Known online by her handle ‘grumpygran1948’, she has built a community of over 24,000 followers.

Bowie’s interest in the battle royale game began in 2017 after watching her grandson play. Despite initial skepticism from her grandson regarding whether anyone would watch her stream, she has maintained a consistent presence on the platform for nearly nine years. She has noted that for her, gaming is more about the excitement of the game and interacting with her community than simply winning.
