Cathay Pacific hosts 80th anniversary exhibition in Taipei

Cathay Pacific is hosting an exhibition in Taipei to celebrate its 80th anniversary. The event, titled ‘Flying Together for 80 Years’, runs from September 1 to September 7 at the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A11 Plaza in Xinyi District, before moving to Diamond Towers in the city's eastern district from September 9 to 15.

Key attractions include a replica model of an Airbus A350 featuring the airline's classic ‘salad leaf sandwich’ livery and an AI interactive experience zone showcasing the airline's evolution from the 1940s to the 2010s. The airline is also selling limited-edition 80th-anniversary merchandise, including blind boxes featuring crew uniforms on teddy bear models.

Cathay Pacific officials noted that the airline plans to launch a new route to Almaty, Kazakhstan, by January next year. Regarding potential price increases following recent fee adjustments by other regional carriers, the airline stated it currently has no plans to adjust its pricing.
