Cathay Pacific launches Hong Kong neighborhood exploration campaign
Cathay Pacific has launched a new social-first marketing campaign titled ‘Hong Kong: The Most Fun Per km²’. Developed in partnership with Leo Singapore, the initiative targets travelers across Southeast Asia and Oceania to highlight the density and variety of experiences available within Hong Kong’s compact neighborhoods.
The campaign utilizes social media creators to explore specific square kilometers of the city, showcasing diverse attractions such as Michelin-starred restaurants, street-side hawkers, cultural landmarks, and nature trails. By using the square kilometer as a creative device on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, the airline aims to encourage deep exploration of local neighborhoods rather than traditional broad-scale sightseeing.
The launch coincides with rising tourism figures for the region. According to the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the city saw 26.7 million visitor arrivals in the first half of 2026, representing a 13% year-on-year increase.
