Catherine Louise Birmingham to present book on off-grid life

Catherine Louise Birmingham will present her book, ‘La mia verità – Memorie e pensieri della mamma nel bosco’, in Valle dell’Angelo on August 12, followed by an event in Agnone on August 22. The book details the family’s decision in 2016 to adopt an ‘off the grid’ lifestyle in a farmhouse near Palmoli, living in harmony with nature to avoid consumerism and stress.

The presentation serves as a public discussion on themes such as family unity, child well-being, educational freedom, and parental responsibility. Participants include Catherine and Nathan Trevallion Birmingham, psychiatrist Tonino Cantelmi, lawyer Simone Pillon, and the Mayor of Valle dell’Angelo, Salvatore Iannuzzi.

The family previously faced legal challenges when the Juvenile Court of L’Aquila suspended their parental responsibility regarding health and education issues. While these matters have since been resolved, their legal counsel has requested the court to expedite the reunification process with their three children.
