Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has criticized the term ‘nepo baby’, describing the label as ‘horrific’. In recent interviews, the Welsh star addressed the scrutiny faced by her children, Dylan and Carys, who have pursued careers in the entertainment industry following in the footsteps of their parents, Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas.

Zeta-Jones noted that her children are ‘plugging away’ at their respective crafts, with Dylan acting and Carys working as an assistant director. She defended them by stating that children ‘didn’t ask to be born into this’ and are working to find their own paths. She added that her children possess genuine talent and passion for their work, suggesting that if they were not good at acting, she and Douglas would have encouraged them toward different professions.
