Catherine Zeta-Jones discusses longevity of marriage to Michael Douglas

Catherine Zeta-Jones has shared insights into the longevity of her 26-year marriage to Michael Douglas, attributing their stability to professional independence and personal space. Speaking to The Sunday Times, the actress noted that maintaining separate career commitments and not being together every moment has helped their relationship thrive.

The couple, who married in 2000, has navigated significant challenges, including a brief separation in 2013 during a period when Douglas was treated for throat cancer and Zeta-Jones managed bipolar II disorder. While Douglas has largely stepped back from acting, Zeta-Jones remains active with upcoming projects such as the series ‘Kill Jackie’.

Their children, Dylan and Carys, are also pursuing acting careers. Carys recently made her theatrical debut in Brooklyn, New York, following her graduation from Brown University.
