Catherine Zeta-Jones stars in new thriller ‘Kill Jackie’

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is starring in the new HBO Max series ‘Kill Jackie’, an eight-episode revenge thriller based on the novel by Nick Harkaway. The production was filmed extensively in Spain, specifically in Bilbao, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, and Navarra, as well as in London and Swansea.

The series follows Jackie Price, a former drug trafficker living a life of luxury who must confront a group of elite assassins known as ‘The Seven Demons’. Zeta-Jones, who has expressed a strong connection to Spain and praise for the talent within the Spanish film industry, noted that her previous roles, such as in ‘The Mask of Zorro’, often led people to mistakenly believe she was Spanish.

Zeta-Jones shared her admiration for Spanish actors like Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem, expressing a desire to eventually film a project entirely in Spanish.
