Ark Invest rotates capital from AMD into Broadcom and Cerebras

Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood has executed a strategic rotation within her portfolio, shifting capital from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) into other technology and artificial intelligence-focused companies.

Regulatory filings indicate that Ark Invest sold 37,977 shares of AMD, valued at approximately $18.1 million, to capitalize on recent gains. The firm redirected these funds toward Broadcom, Cerebras Systems, and Cloudflare. Specifically, Wood added 57,705 shares of Broadcom and 69,585 shares of Cerebras Systems, while also purchasing 47,794 shares of Cloudflare and over 300,000 shares of Generate Biomedicines.

Despite the sale, AMD remains a significant holding for the flagship ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK), representing roughly 3% of its total assets. Wood’s recent moves appear aimed at diversifying Ark’s exposure to the AI chip sector and leveraging recent market pullbacks in semiconductor and infrastructure stocks.
