Catholic Charities in Argentina Raise $90 Million in Annual Collection

The Archdiocese of Paraná announced that its 2026 Caritas Annual Collection reached a historic $90,015,676.50, a 55 % increase over the previous year. The proceeds will be divided equally among Caritas Nacional projects, the diocesan programs, and local parish initiatives, including continued support for the newly‑opened shelter for people experiencing homelessness, which marks its first anniversary.

In a separate parish in the United States, a local campaign reported that 119 parishioners contributed more than $51,150 to its annual Catholic fundraiser. The parish also organized a special collection to aid victims of recent earthquakes in Venezuela and promoted various community events, such as religious education programs, a pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Massachusetts, and a weekend flea market.

Both efforts reflect a broader trend of increasing generosity within Catholic communities across the region.
