Catholic Church announces clerical changes in Opole and Krakow
The Catholic Church in Poland has announced several personnel changes across the Opole and Krakow archdioceses, involving the appointment and removal of parish priests, administrators, and vicars.
In the Diocese of Opole, several priests are being relieved of their duties as parish priests in locations including Grodziec, Bieńkowice, Staniszcze Wielkie, Czarnowąsy, Kędzierzyn-Koźle, and Rzymkowice. New appointments include Marcin Michałków and Mateusz Pytel as vicars, while Marian Błaszczok and Szymon Cała have been appointed to new roles as parish priests.
In the Archdiocese of Krakow, the Metropolitan Curia reported various shifts. These include the resignation of Roman Ciupaka from his post in Witkowice, with Mieczysław Działek appointed as administrator. Other transfers involve Marek Fit and Piotr Waligóra moving between parishes in Zakliczyn and Myślachowice. Additionally, Milan Michalak has stepped down from his role in Koźmice Wielkie, succeeded by Rafał Wierzbiak, and Mirosław Smyrak has been appointed as a notary for the Metropolitan Curia and rector of a church in Krakow.
