Catholic Church announces new priest appointments in Argentina and Mexico

In the Argentine Diocese of Quilmes, Bishop Carlos José Tissera disclosed a series of priest and deacon assignments for the final quarter of 2026. Among the designations, Daniel Ernesto Maya Jiménez was named parish priest of the San Jorge parish, while other clergy received roles as administrators and vicars in various local parishes.

The Mexican Diocese of San Juan de los Lagos released its own list of appointments for early August. Priest Luis Carlos García Rea will become the new pastor of the Divina Providencia parish in Tepatitlán, succeeding his previous post at Nuestra Señora de la Luz in Cañadas de Obregón. Additional assignments include José de Jesús Padilla Vázquez as rector of the Santo Toribio Romo sanctuary and several other clergy to roles across the region.
