Catholic Church appointments and pastoral visits announced in Italy

Monsignor Michele Di Tolve has been appointed as the new Bishop of Chioggia by Pope Leo XIV. Previously serving as an auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Rome and the Rector of the Pontifical Roman Major Seminary, Di Tolve succeeds Monsignor Giampaolo Dianin. Following this appointment, Monsignor Simone Renna has been named the new Rector of the Pontifical Roman Major Seminary.

In a separate development within the Italian Church, Archbishop Mario Delpini of Milan has announced his pastoral visit schedule for the upcoming year. Following a one-year extension of his service by the Pope, Delpini will visit several deanates in the province of Varese, including Busto Arsizio, Somma Lombardo, and Tradate. These visits aim to foster community communion and allow the Archbishop to engage with local clergy, youth, and pastoral workers.
