Catholic Church events and papal warnings on digital loneliness

In Rome, Pope Leo XIV addressed 1,200 educators during an international conference organized by the Dicastery for Culture and Education. The Pope warned of the growing phenomenon of “loneliness in the digital world” affecting students and young people. He criticized a “culture of achievement” and a distorted view of meritocracy that fails to respect human dignity, noting that many youths feel invisible or paralyzed by the fear of making mistakes.

In Vietnam, the Minh Cam Parish celebrated a Mass led by Bishop Louis for 110 children receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. During the ceremony, the Bishop emphasized the spiritual mission of the recipients, calling them to be living witnesses of faith and charity in the modern world.
