Catholic Church in Vietnam issues liturgical guidance for 2026
The Liturgical Committee of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Vietnam has released guidelines for the celebration of All Saints' Day in 2026. Because November 1, 2026, falls on the 31st Sunday of Ordinary Time, the committee specifies that the liturgical celebrations for All Saints' Day will take precedence.
According to the guidance issued by Bishop Peter Kiều Công Tùng, the Liturgy of the Hours and the Holy Mass on the evening of Saturday, October 31, will follow the All Saints' Day rites. On Sunday, November 1, the Liturgy of the Hours—including Morning, Midday, and Evening Prayer II—will also be celebrated according to the All Saints' Day observance.
Additional liturgical schedules for late October 2026 include commemorations for various parish church dedications and the feast of Saints Simon and Jude. The period also includes intentions for mental health ministry and the proper use of wealth for the common good.
