Catholic communities mark anniversaries and organize youth pilgrimages

Religious communities in Germany and Slovenia are marking various spiritual milestones and events. In Germany, the Sorbian Catholic community is celebrating the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Church of Mary Assumption and a 200-year tradition of pilgrimage in Pančice-Kukow. Additionally, the Berlin Archbishopric, along with the Görlitz, Erfurt, and Dresden-Meissen dioceses, is collaborating with Biblische Reisen to organize a youth pilgrimage to a global youth gathering in Seoul, South Korea, scheduled for 2027.

In Slovenia, theological reflections on the Gospel of Matthew focus on the identity of Jesus. Discussions include the ‘trilemma’ proposed by C. S. Lewis, which posits that Jesus must be viewed as either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord, rejecting the notion that he was merely a great moral teacher.
